The above retaining wall had cracks, texture, and bulges that reminded me of the local cascade mountain ranges. After developing a color palette to represent the Pacific Northwest, I used the natural shapes in the wall to design the mural on the spot, producing an organic piece of artwork.
The below retaining wall was designed to be a statement piece for the patio, so it could be enjoyed no matter the weather or season. The concept for this mural was to show the Puget Sound in various conditions throughout the day, inspired by the views from Steilacoom.
